Nelson Charity Art Auction

WildTomatoMagazine and Arts Council Nelson in association with the Refinery Gallery hosted a success

WildTomatoMedia and Arts Council Nelson teamed up earlier this year to create an art auction with a difference. With many of the Region's premier artists involved, the art auction was created to raise funds for The Nelson SPCA, Lifeline Nelson, Arts Council Nelson, Royal NZ Plunket Society, Stopping Violence Nelson, St John, Big Brothers Big Sisters. Each artist has provided a work which was auctioned on the evening of Tuesday 5th June. The purchaser of each artwork nominated which charity they would like the proceeds of their winning bid to go to. The result was a huge success, with over $6000 raised for Nelson Charities. WildTomatoMagazine thanks everyone for their support, attendance and contributions to the success of the event. We hope to host another Charity Art Auction in 2008.
