The idea behind the Lucid Arts Project stems from the need to develop an affordable means for artists to promote themselves on the internet.

It has come to the point where it is imperative for an artist to have an online presence. The problem is that it is often not affordable to create a comprehensive online web gallery that can really help create the presence they need. This may be because they might have the money but cannot justify the expense or that they simply cannot afford it. The latter is most often the case.

To create an advanced online gallery that allows people to buy and sell their works online, display them to potential galleries and generally exhibit them to the world is an expensive undertaking for an individual artist.

By creating an integrated system, we have much more power to create something more advanced and ultimately more useful.
